Welcome to the Mayflies Project.
A seven year project capturing over 1000 portraits from 35 community driven festivals and events from across the world.
The Mayflies project set out to document the extraordinary flourishing of radical self expression amongst sub-cultural communities around the world. The project and its published work is the vision of photographer Darren Smith.
The finished result was a published (hardback) compendium of the 120 best portraits as edited by Stuart Smith of GOST books, produced by MONSOLO.
